Miss Elizabeth, Early Childhood Directress, has 24 years of experience in education and child care.
Miss Elizabeth has a BA in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Psychology Education. Her Montessori Early Childhood certification, a Masters equivalent, was done in Lake Worth, FL and completed at IU South Bend. Elizabeth completed her Montessori Internship under Terry Cavallo. As a child she was also an EC Student at Valparaiso Montessori. Montessori does develop a lifelong love of learning.
In addition to her teaching experience in 6 different states, Elizabeth spent several years as a Parent Educator for Parents as Teachers of Porter County, conducted Teen Parenting groups at two different local high schools, and has presented to teachers at 3 PNC Early Childhood Conferences. She brings knowledge of social emotional lessons that also draw from training in Love and Logic, Conscious Discipline, and Smart Love techniques. As a child she lived in Taiwan and in college returned to Beijing, China and studied at Beijing Technical University.
Elizabeth has traveled the world, visiting over 15 different countries and enjoys sharing a world view with her students. She looks forward to sharing many different cultures and some Chinese, Spanish, and ASL with the children of Chesterton Montessori School.
