I’m originally from New Jersey and was a stay at home mom with three, great children. When I decided to go to work, I started at Tiny Tim’s Child Care in Valparaiso where I worked with prekindergarten children for five years. I’ve been at Chesterton Montessori School for twenty years, primarily working as a teacher’s assistant in the Toddler Class. For the past two years, I’ve been assisting in the Upper Elementary Class. I enjoy this older grade level because it allows me to explore the world with students. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education K-12 from Shepherd College, and used my knowledge of music nearly everyday while working with toddlers. I know that each student is unique in their own way! I like to play golf, and I enjoy sketching and painting. I also like to travel to and explore national parks with my husband, so far we have visited thirty-three parks. Finally, I like to play video games, especially with my two grandchildren.
