My name is Dana Dalton and I am the Spalding instructor at Chesterton Montessori School. I graduated in 2011 with a degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University. I have been working at Chesterton Montessori since 2013. I joined the Lower Elementary classroom as the assistant in 2015 and became the Spalding Instructor in 2016. I teach reading and writing to the Lower Elementary and Kindergarten classes with an emphasis on phonics. I went to Portland, Oregon for training in 2016 through the Rigg’s Institute to learn the Spalding program. I live in Chesterton but I am originally from central Wisconsin.
