With nearly 20 years of experience in nursing, and several of those years dedicated to psychiatric care, I’ve found my deepest joy in working closely with children and their caregivers. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I was privileged to support the emotional and developmental needs of families during pivotal moments. Over time, my passion
naturally evolved toward early childhood development and the profound impact of intentional, respectful guidance from the start of life.
My journey into the Montessori world began years ago when I discovered the writings of Dr. Maria Montessori. This philosophy deeply resonated with me—not only professionally, but also personally, as I watched my own children thrive at Chesterton Montessori School. For
the past five years, I’ve witnessed firsthand how this environment nurtures self-confidence, independence, empathy, and a lifelong love of learning. Today, my children continue to carry these qualities into their Lower Elementary years at Chesterton Montessori School.
Choosing to step away from full-time psychiatric practice was not a departure from purpose, but a realignment with it. I am honored to join this remarkable community as a Toddler
Directress, where I can guide young children in a prepared environment that respects their unique development and potential. It is a privilege to be part of these foundational years and to support children as they take their first steps into the world with wonder, curiosity, and grace.
