At Chesterton Montessori School we feel it is essential for parents to be involved. We and the Parents have the same goal – the child.  We provide opportunities for parent involvement.

We offer Parent Education evenings in each class level and upon occasion offer a special workshop for parents, i.e., How to Talk So Kids Will Listen.

Parents are asked to participate actively by giving time to help the school through activities such as baking, assisting at the Fall Festival and Spring Days, doing class laundry, attending our Parents Action Council meetings, called PAC,  etc. This time, 10 to 20 hours per family per year, is what we call participation hours. We want and need parents to be involved.  We strive to provide a strong sense of community throughout all levels of learning.

Parents are always welcome.
