As a child, my family and I lived in several places throughout the U.S. and the world, such as Australia and Saudi Arabia. We were also able to visit other countries throughout the world. I feel like being able to experience other cultures at such a young age had a major impact on me in a positive way. It was a great experience!

I started out in Montessori as a parent of a toddler who was attending Chesterton Montessori School. I then began volunteering around the school to help with different things that needed to be done. I was offered a job as a Lower Elementary Assistant which I loved! When it was announced that the school had been sold and the previous Owner/Administrator was retiring, I was asked to fill the Administrator’s position and I happily accepted.

I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Montessori Administrators Certification through American Montessori Society.

My goal for our school is to ensure we are providing high-fidelity Montessori to the children of our
community. My aim is to have a collaborative staff environment where everyone feels like their voice is heard and respected.
