Where kids love to learn

“Education should no longer be mostly imparting knowledge, but must take a new path, seeking the release of human potentials.”

          Hands on Learning

Research proves that children learn best by doing, Dr. Montessori devised many educational materials that follow children’s developmental needs. Through these materials children discover basic concepts and relationships basic to all future learning.

Much of the equipment designed by Dr. Montessori herself and by those who have continued her work allows the child to find and to correct their own errors in a carefully prepared environment. Mastery of this apparatus builds self-confidence, a feeling of accomplishments, and orderly, logical methods for problem-solving.

The feeling of mastery leads the child to more complicated materials and exercises that teach language skills, mathematics, and other educational disciplines. In short, the children teach themselves, having freedom within limits with the guidance of a directress or director – who is always alert to the needs of each child.

“ The environment itself will teach the child: every error he makes is manifest to him, without the intervention of a parent or teacher, who should remain a quiet observer of all that happens.”
